FreshJax today announced the hiring of Scott Day as Financial Controller. Day is a career accountant with 20+ years of experience in finance that has included working in a variety of industries, including medical technologies, real estate, and the auto industry. FreshJax, an organic spice company, is a top seller on Amazon and has seen triple-digit growth over the past 5 years. FreshJax recently acquired its own manufacturing and distribution headquarters in Southside Jacksonville and has added over 30 new employees in the past year.
Day will be working closely with founder Jason McDonald and will be developing and implementing an overall financial strategy and translating the company’s business objectives into financial strategies that drive revenue. In addition, he will determine and administer the annual budget, identify and track key metrics, and establish pricing and positioning strategies for a variety of FreshJax products. The value Day will bring to the FreshJax team is important to future success. His experience and drive will help them reach their vision of donating 50 million meals to children in need.
