This past weekend the PS27 team traveled to Ft. Lauderdale, FL for the Women Empower Expo (WEX). Shannon LoGiudice and Christine McFaul managed a live pitch competition where female founders were able to tell their story to judges on stage. Mark Volchek, a Founding Partner of Las Olas Venture Capital, and Sarah Lucas, the COO of New Word Angels were the judges who asked the founders questions and ultimately decided the winner.
After some deliberation, the winner of the pitch competition was Shakeia Kegler of GovLia.
GovLia’s mission is to increase small business participation in contracting by modernizing procurement and creating a simplified process that anyone can follow. GovLia’s marketplace allows small businesses and government agencies to streamline workflows and manage contracts efficiently. PS27 Ventures looks forward to working with GovLia as part of the winner’s prize package.
